Overview
One of the fastest growing advanced automated warehouse and cold-storage logistics companies in the world, dedicated to developing world-class technological systems. What was being delivered through their onboarding struggled to match the company’s vision. It needed a rethink to give the new recruits a better understanding before their first day.
Not knowing the road ahead
When moving into a new organisation, employees expect a warm welcome with content that informs and creates a buzz for their journey ahead. What they were being greeted with was far from it. A new lease of life was needed.
Induction material was being delivered inconsistently across the globe and with it, the missed opportunity to create a sense of belonging for teams right from the start. Many were struggling to visualise their site or workplace before arriving too, making for a tangled process on arrival.
A fully immersive onboarding experience
To create that connection, teams needed an experience that fully immersed them from day one. Spending time understanding our partners’ vision and culture was a critical starting point which provided a foundation.
From there, an onboarding journey navigating through the fundamental elements of each department was mapped out to help foster a sense of familiarity for the new employees. Giving teams an overview of their workplace was a requirement to support them in feeling comfortable before arriving, alleviating any “first day” nerves.
One half, a character-led animated department tour featuring key leaders from across the organisation, allowing for a thorough introduction to each team. The other, a 360-degree photography site tour allowing users to walk around and interact with every area of their new workplace. A custom-built, fully immersive, digital onboarding experience guaranteed to energise new employees from day one!
