Overview

From a family-owned start-up to a global phenomenon, an engagement-driven way to deliver one clear message was needed to support our partners in better preservation of their assets worldwide.

Empower the workforce to recognise when something needs to be replaced

The Asset Conservation Management team identified a major challenge they were struggling to manage with their workforce – strong preservation of their assets. Not only was it costing them huge amounts financially through loss of time, they needed to communicate the dangers associated with specific equipment and waste material too.

Previously, there was no unified approach in place to educate employees on how to recognise when assets were reaching the end of their life or in need of repair/replacement. A standardised approach was needed to consistently deliver this awareness while highlighting the health and safety risks should something go wrong, separate to the standard machine maintenance processes.

A sprinkle of animated magic

After analysing patterns, the team identified 7 key topic areas where most problems and issues were occurring – these were used as a focus for the learning experience. With 150,000+ employees worldwide, operating in busy roles, material needed to be accessible on demand. Punchy, energy-packed explainer videos were the way to go.

Combining characters with motion graphics, a series of animations were developed each with a clear goal – impactfully educate on how to preserve assets while recognising when they become hazardous. Typically dry topics were brought to life with a sprinkle of animated magic, helping deliver that key message to our audience.

It resulted in a slick communication tool the Asset Conservation Team could easily share, giving them the ability to track views and validate understanding across their organisation.
